A consultation to confirm whether cataract explains your visual difficulty and to decide whether surgery is worthwhile. Dr Abellán carries out the assessment, the surgery and the follow-up.

Before you come

- Previous reports and test results
- All your glasses
- A list of the medication you take
- Your insurance card or referral
If you wear contact lenses
You may need to stop wearing them a few days before. You will be told when your appointment is booked.
Pupil dilation
It may be needed to examine the eye. For about 3–6 hours near vision will be blurred and light will bother you: do not drive home and bring sunglasses.
